Create and send a quotation

Last updated: 13 July 2026

A quotation is how you price work and win the job. In BuildTrack you build it from line items, apply SST, and send it to your customer on WhatsApp so they can accept it with one tap — no printing or email chasing. Once accepted, you can turn it straight into a job.

Start a new quotation

Go to Quotations and press New quotation. Pick the customer — or add a new one on the spot — and give the quotation a title that describes the work.

Build your line items

  1. Add each item of work

Description, quantity, unit and unit price. The line total calculates as you type.

  2. Apply SST where it applies

Mark SST on the relevant lines; the totals panel rolls up subtotal, SST and grand total in MYR.

  3. Group into sections if the job is large

Break a big scope into sections so the customer can read it easily.

  4. Add your terms and conditions

Apply a saved terms template, or set your default so it’s added to every new quotation.

Amounts follow Malaysian conventions throughout — currency in MYR (RM) and dates as DD/MM/YYYY.

When the quotation looks right, press Send and choose WhatsApp. Your customer receives a link to a public quotation page carrying your logo and company details, where they can review and accept it. The status in your Quotations list moves from Sent to Accepted so you always know where each quote stands.

Turn it into a job

Once accepted, press Convert to job to carry the customer and line items across into a new job. From there you can schedule crew and bill against it — including Progress Claims as each stage completes.
